My new digital camera

Family, friends, followers, and fans—I am back—this time in my favorite language: US English. As someone recently asked me: «Why do you tweet in English?» My friend was—and is—Norwegian, of course, and I had to explain that I don’t want to rob my international friends of the chance to actually understand my rants. As most of you know, I love to travel and make new friends, and let’s face it, folks; Norway is a tiny country, and not many people outside Norway—except maybe Swedes and Danes—can read Norwegian. And I, for one, don’t blame them! Tiny country, folks!

So, there you go; I tweet in English. And what’s new: From this day forth my blog will also be understandable to 99 % of my friends. Some parts may still suffer from the ancient Norse tongue, yet given time I will try to sort that out.

Language aside, this blog was intended to be about my new gadget: the Olympus Stylus Tough 6020.

It’s small, it’s watertight, it’s shockproof—it’s Tough.

I’m aware there are better cameras this size, with optical zoom, but my intention is to aquire and use a dSLR for longer and more demanding shots. For now this will be my primary camera, and in the long run, my action camera.

I think I’ll leave it at that. I am blogging again, and that’s the important part. And there will be a new Book List asap. Comments and ideas on how to improve my blog or language is encouraged and will be received with thanks.
